Nine Bulldogs Named All-Conference in Baseball; Rivera Named MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year

Annville, PA (May 12, 2025) – First-year student Jacob Rivera was named the MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year highlighting nine Bulldogs named to the All-MAC Freedom Team as announced by the conference office and as voted on by the eight MAC Freedom coaches on Monday morning.

Rivera was named the MAC Freedom Baseball Rookie of the Year along with being named to the Second-Team. Joining him on the Second-Team was graduate student Travis Kerr and junior JT Anderosky. Senior Colin Houck earned All-MAC Freedom First-Team honors. Graduate student Gavin Zavorski, seniors Owen Fischl and Frank Parrotti, junior Mike Hooker, and sophomore Jeremy Stranix earned All-MAC Honorable-Mention to round out the honorees.
 
Rivera became the 12th Bulldog to take home MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year honors and the third straight. He had an impressive first year with the Bulldogs finishing with a .432 batting average to go along with two home runs and 25 RBIs.

Anderosky and Hooker each make their second appearances on the All-Conference teams.
 
Anderosky comes off a junior campaign in which he was second on the team with a .331 batting average. He also was second on the team in hits (42), seventh in RBIs (24), and led the team with 20 stolen bases.

Hooker was a reliable arm for the Bulldogs during conference play as he started in seven conference games posting a 3-1 record and 4.58 ERA while striking out 28 batters and tossing one complete game.
 
Zavorski and Kerr each earn All-Conference honors for the third time in their careers.

Zavorski finished the season batting .325 with six homeruns and 33 RBIs. His home runs ranked first on the team while his RBIs ranked second, and he also tallied 41 hits which was third on the team. Kerr led the team with a .398 qualified batting average and led DSU with 53 hits. He also hit three home runs and posted a team-leading 37 RBIs on the year.
 
Houck, Fischl, Parrotti, and Stranix each earn All-Conference honors for the first time in their careers.

Houck finished batting .340 with two home runs and 28 RBIs which ranked third on the team, while stringing together 35 hits which was fourth on the team. Fischl batted out of the designated hitter position all year and posted a .323 batting average to go along with one home run and 26 RBIs.

Parrotti transitioned from a reliever to a starter this year and very much excelled in that position. He posted an overall 6-3 record and a 4.63 ERA while striking out 33 batters. Parrotti tossed three complete games, two of which were complete game shutouts which led the team. Stranix had a strong sophomore season as he batted .302 and strung together 35 hits to along with one home run and 26 RBIs.
