Langhorne, PA (October 8, 2013) – Senior Brady Walsh scored twice making her the third player in school-history with 30+ career goals and the DeSales University women's soccer team recorded its fifth shutout of the season in a 4-0 win over Cairn University on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action.

Walsh started the scoring just 7:44 into the game with her sixth goal of the season on an assist from sophomore Jamie Barna.  She made it a two-goal game in the 25th minute this time on an assist from freshman Jessica Wetherhold and Wetherhold made it 3-0 in the 33rd minute off an assist from senior Ariel Merkt.

It was a three goal lead at the half before Merkt provided the only marker of the second-half, scoring unassisted in the 65th minute.

Junior Michelle Churchman made the only save needed on the defensive end of the field as she teamed with freshman Emily Hoats on the team's fifth shutout of the year.

DSU out-shot Cairn, 18-2 in the game and took all three of the game's corner kicks.  Walsh now has 30 career goals and 71 career points making her the third player in team history to record 30+ goals and 70+ points in a career at DeSales.

The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday when they travel to Eastern University for another important Freedom Conference road match-up beginning at Noon.
