Center Valley, PA (October 9, 2020) - The DeSales University esports Overwatch team earned its second straight win to move to 2-1 on the season with a 3-0 win over Lackawanna Falcons on Monday evening.

Below is match recap written by junior Angelo Ezzo.

The first map of Ilios was hotly contested between both teams. Point 1, Lighthouse finished 100% to 96% after a clutch play by DeSales, damage duo brought it back. On point 2, DeSales nearly lost but managed to come back in overtime and win the round, 100% to 99%.

The Falcons were stifled on the second map of Junkertown after the Bulldogs made a few compositional swaps to stop them in their tracks before they could capture the second point. DeSales then very quickly overcame the Falcons' defense, resulting in them being up 2-0 going into map three.

On map three, King's Row, DeSales put up a stellar defense, refusing to give up any capture progress after some heroics by DeSales match MVP, Ben 'KiFrame' Reed, used his ultimate ability to win a fight four versus six. DeSales once again quickly overwhelmed the Falcon's defense to secure their victory and win the game, 3-0.
