Center Valley, PA (March 18, 2026) - The DeSales University University eSports team dropped a 2-0 decision in Valorant to Kettering University on Wednesday evening.

DeSales University faced off against Kettering University, hailing from Flint Michigan. The two teams began their fight on Haven, a map notorious for its winding flank pathways and three bomb sites. DeSales and Kettering both selected Omen and Sova, but DeSales opted for a single duelist (Jett) and double initiator with Breach while Kettering selected a double-duelist Neon and Phoenix combo. DeSales also picked Cypher for its Sentinel while Kettering chose Killjoy. 

DeSales had some strong moments on this map, especially from OBCana (Chris O'Brien) on Cypher and MrMystery (Ben Young) on Sova. The pair completed an impressive 2v5 clutch and showed off their aim skills. However, Kettering ultimately had much more map control and defeated DeSales 13-3.

The second map, Pearl, was closer with a 13-6 loss. Here, Plaqueboygustave (Nate DeWit) excelled on Astra, impressing watchers with several great clutches and strong plays. MrMystery on Fade and OBCana on Killjoy continued their strong performances, and boosh (Manny Olivieras) had some top-tier shots on Waylay.
