Center Valley, PA (April 20, 2026) - The DeSales University Overwatch team earned a 3-0 win over Ohio Wesleyan University on Monday evening advancing to the NACE Division Finals.

This game, against OWU,  was a 'revenge arc' of sorts as the team had previously beaten us 3-2. DSU demonstrated great improvement, emerging victorious in a 3-0 sweep and continuing straight to the division finals. The game included Chris OBrien (OBCana) and DevilBoy612 (Francis Schick) on DPS,  Bryson Dorn (Wellitried1) on tank, and Jane Mannion (LilacGhost) and John Roach (Bottom500) on Support.

The game started off on Lijiang Tower, a Control Point map. Bryson and Francis had extremely strong moments here as Orisa and Reaper respectively, with Orisa scoring an impressive kill by pushing the enemy Bastion off the map and Reaper's Ultimate securing important teamfights. The team's next map, Eichenwald, was a bit harder: Chris was doing well on Echo, so the enemy team counter-swapped to Cass, Bastion and Baptiste. DeSales was also having a hard time against the enemy Zarya. However, we regained our footing and counter-swapped back to Bastion and Junker Queen, earning a clean Overtime win (with thanks to Jane and John's stellar Support performances). DeSales' final matchup on New Junk City was extremely smooth, with the team winning all 3 necessary Flashpoints in a row. We saw some amazing performance here from Chris on Sojourn — it was clear the team captain was comfortable enough on the map to make risky plays, such as great flank pushes that wiped out OWU's supports. The team felt cool and confident after the win, and they are excited for next week's Finals match.
