Women's Track & Field Competes at Moravian Indoor Meet

Bethlehem, PA (January 18, 2025) - The DeSales University women's track & field re-started its indoor season competing at the Moravian University Indoor Meet on Saturday at Lehigh University.

DSU saw several student-athletes post MAC qualfiying times.  They included:

First-year Ellie Kozich who qualified in the 3K in a time of 10:39.90, which was also a qualyfing time for the AARTFC championships.

Senior Haley Estus qualified in the Mile with a time of 5:22.65, placing fourth and sophomore Avery Peluszak qualified in both the 200 (12th - 28.39) and 400-meters (11th - 1:04.91).

Other qualifiers in the running events included first-year Brooke Signorella in the 60-meter dash (9th - 8.37), senior Emma Ribeiro in the 60-meter dash (11th - 8.48), and first-year Kay Wiscount in the 800-meters (2:26.83 - 3rd).

Signorella also qualified in the high jump (12th - 1.50m).  Seniors Emma Mele (11th - 3.03m) in the pole vault and Melissa Peller (3rd - 5.10m) in the long jump each qualified.

Sophomore Catherine Crampton also qualified in the long jump (13th - 4.61m), sophomore Sophia Manidis qualified in the weight throw (15th - 12,23m) and first-year Sadie Fenstermaker qualified in both the shot put (6th - 11.08m) and weight throw (7th - 13.62m).

DeSales is back in action next Saturday at Widener University.
