Estus/Wiscount Shine at Franklin & Marshall Invitational

Lancaster, PA (February 8, 2025) - Senior Haley Estus and first-year Kay Wiscount each turned in first place finishes as the DeSales University women's track & field team competed at the Blue & White Invitational at Franklin & Marshall College on Saturday.

Estus took home first in the 5K with a time of 18:22.90, qualifying her for the AARTFC Championships.  Wiscount was first in the 800-meters with a time of 2:23.28 and also took sixth in the 400-meters with a MAC qualfying time of 1:03.23.

Senior Emma Ribeiro had qualfying times in the 60-meter dash (8.38), taking 11th, and in the 200-meters (27.94), finishing eighth.  Sophomore Avery Peluszak was fourth in the 200-meters (27.71) and first-year Ellie Kozich qualified for the MAC Championships in the mile with a time of 5:30.93, taking third place on Saturday.

In the field events, sophomore Catherine Crampton was seventh in the long jump (4.72m) and fifth in the triple jump (10.42m) and first-year Sadie Fenstermacher was seventh in both the shot put (11.09m), bettering her previous best throw, and the weight throw (13.81m).

Senior Melissa Peller qualified for the MAC Championships with a third place finish in the long jump (4.87m), senior Emma Mele was ninth in the pole vault (3.03m), and first-year Brooke Signorella placed second in the high jump (1.47m).

The Bulldogs are back in action next Saturday competing at the Widener University select meet at the University of Penn.
