Men’s Track and Field Competes at Moravian Blue and Grey Invitational

Bethlehem, PA (January 17, 2026) - The DeSales University men's track & field continued its indoor season competing at Moravian's Blue and Grey Invitational on Saturday.
 
Kicking off the sprinting events in the 60 meter prelims was first year Bryce Solly, who placed 13th overall with a time of 7.66 seconds. Sophomore Preston De Grazia came in just behind him, clocking a personal best time of 7.82 seconds, finishing in 14th place overall.
 
In the 60 meter hurdles, sophomore Jonathan Castronovo earned a strong 7th place finish, crossing the line in 9.67.
 
The team continued to see major success in the 400 meter, where junior Bryce Guthier took first place with a time of 52.62 seconds. Bryce's time also earned him the MAC qualifying time for the 400 meter. First year Sean Alfaro secured a 4th place finish in 54.95 seconds, and sophomore Aidan Phillips finished in 6th place overall in 58.24 seconds.
 
For the 800 meter, sophomore Keegan Dube ran a personal record of 2:07.01, taking 7th. First year Cody Doskocil followed in 10th with a 2:08.87, while fellow first year Jack Tavani placed 14th in 2:12.95. Junior Andrew Sidorski closed out the group in 15th, also hitting a personal best time, running 2:14.25.
 
In the one mile run, junior Jozef Callano earned a first place finish with a time of 4:29.91. Jozef's time also earned him the MAC qualifying time for the one mile run. Sophomore Alex Porambo crossed the line in 10th at 4:48.64, followed closely by first year Brady Snyder, who secured 11th in 4:56.14. Senior Jordan Gallo came through in 12th, running 5:12.75, and first year Joey DeAngelis rounded out the group in 13th in 5:58.89.
 
In the 3000 meter, junior Joey Wilson led the Bulldogs with a 10th place finish, running a time of 8:52.31. Joey's time also earned him the MAC qualifying time for the 3000 meter. Senior Davis Trump followed with a 17th place finish overall in 9:24.81, and first year Ryan Durkin rounded out the lineup, taking 19th place with a time of 9:50.76.
 
For the 5000 meter, first year Alden Twist earned a 3rd place finish overall, with a time of 16:10.33. Alden's time also earns him the MAC qualifying time for the 5000 meter run. Sophomore James Viglianti finished in 7th place, with a time of 17:06.53.
 
Shifting to the field events, sophomore Jonathan Castronovo opened the day in the High Jump, clearing a personal best jump of 1.83 meters, taking 4th place. Jonathan's jump also earns him the MAC qualifying standard for the High Jump. First year Del Tyler followed with a 5th place finish after clearing 1.63 meters.
 
In the Long Jump, Castronovo continued his performance, earning a personal record jump of 6.63 meters and placed 2nd overall. Jonathan's jump also earned him the MAC qualifying standard for the Long Jump. Junior Javell McMichael finished in 8th place, with a personal record jump of 5.99 meters. First year Del Tyler landed in 9th place overall, jumping 5.98 meters. First years Tanner Riefenstahl and Luke Heimann rounded out the group, finishing 11th and 12th with jumps of 5.59 and 5.57 meters, respectively.
 
In the Pole Vault, sophomore Jack Jacobson secured a 2nd place finish overall after clearing 3.95 meters. Jack's jump also earns him the MAC qualifying standard for the Pole Vault. First year Tyler Cloidt set a personal record jump of 3.65 meters to earn 4th place.
 
In the throwing events for the Shot Put, first year John Amoretti led the group with a 7th place finish, hitting a personal record throw of 12.41 meters. John's throw also earned the MAC qualifying standard for Shot Put. Fellow first year Grady Hanson followed in 9th place, with a throw of 12.18 meters. First year Ryan Rodriguez placed 19th with a 10.93 meter throw. Senior Chris Landau rounded out the squad in 22nd with a throw of 10.37 meters.
 
In the Weight Throw, senior Giovanni Wellington led the group with a 5th place finish, reaching 14.29 meters. Fellow senior Jonathan Eudja placed close behind in 6th, with a throw of 13.53 meters. First year Ryan Rodriguez finished in 8th place with a throw of 12.34 meters, while first year John Amoretti placed 19th with a throw of 10.21 meters. Giovanni, Jonathan, and Ryan all earned the MAC qualification standard for the Weight Throw.
 
In the Triple Jump, junior Weston Simak secured 2nd place with a leap of 13.49 meters. First year Luke Heimann took 3rd overall with a personal record jump of 12.30 meters. Both Luke and Weston also earned the MAC qualifying standard for the Triple Jump.
 
To close out the meet, DeSales ran two squads in the 4x400 meter relay. Relay team "A" consisted of Keegan Dube, Cody Doskocil, Jozef Callano, and Sean Alfaro. They placed 4th overall, with a final time of 3:43.85. Relay team "B" consisted of Brady Snyder, Jack Tavani, Aidan Phillips, and Alex Porambo. They placed 7th overall, with a time of 3:53.13.
 
Next Saturday, January 24th the Bulldog's will return to Lehigh once again to compete at the Hounds Classic hosted by Moravian University.
