Men’s Track and Field Competes at Moravian Hound’s Classic

Bethlehem, PA (January 24, 2026) - The DeSales University men's track & field team continued its indoor season this Saturday, returning to Lehigh University for the Hounds Classic, hosted by Moravian University.
 
In the 60‑meter prelims, junior Bryce Guthier placed 25th overall, with a time of 7.42 seconds, a new personal best. Following close behind in 30th place was sophomore Jonathan Castronovo, also hitting a personal record time running 7.47 seconds. First‑year Bryce Solly crossed the line in 43rd, recording a time of 7.67 seconds, while sophomore Preston De Grazia rounded out the squad in 49th in 7.91 seconds.
 
For the 60‑meter hurdles, sophomore Jonathan Castronovo continued his strong day with a 12th place finish, setting a personal record time of 9.53 seconds. First‑year Bryce Solly followed in 17th, clocking a time of 10.83 seconds.
 
In the 200‑meter, junior Bryce Guthier led the group with a season best time of 23.84, finishing in 18th overall. First‑year Sean Alfaro followed in 37th place, clocking a time of 24.88, while fellow first‑year Owen Wescoe took 42nd in 25.24. Sophomore Preston De Grazia rounded out the 200-meter lineup, placing 45th with a personal record time of 26.01.
 
Junior Jozef Callano earned 5th place finish in the 800-meter, clocking a time of 2:03.23. Sophomore Alex Porambo finished in 11th overall, posting a season best time of 2:04.79, while first‑year Cody Doskocil also added a season best time, taking 16th place in 2:07.50. Senior Jordan Gallo wrapped up the Bulldog's 800-meter squad, placing 25th overall, running a time of 2:16.89.
 
In the one mile, junior Joey Wilson earned the team a 12th place finish overall, in a time of 4:34.28. Joey's time also clears him for the MAC qualifying standard for the one mile run. First‑year Keegan Dube took 15th with a personal‑record time of 4:36.71, while senior Davis Trump secured 19th overall in 4:41.01. Close behind, first‑year Alden Twist claimed 20th place, crossing the line in 4:43.57.
 
Sophomore James Viglianti finished in 12th place overall for 3000-meter, running a time of 9:37.45.
 
For the 5000-meter, senior James Cook earned a 5th place finish, with a time of 16:31.09. Right behind in 6th place was first-year Ryan Durkin, who crossed the line in 16:43.39.
 
The momentum only continued into the field events, where the Bulldogs added several more standout performances.
 
In the Long Jump, junior Weston Simak led the way with an 8th place finish, hitting a season best jump of 6.61 meters. Weston's jump also earns him the MAC qualifying jump for the Long Jump. First‑year Tanner Riefenstahl added a strong effort of his own, taking 27th, earning a personal record jump of 5.59 meters.
 
For the Pole Vault, sophomore Jack Jacobson took 8th place, clearing a season best vault of 3.95 meters. First-year Tyler Cloidt followed in 15th place overall, with a vault of 3.35 meters.
 
First-year Luke Heimann placed 14th overall in the Triple Jump, with a jump of 11.69 meters.
 
Switching to the throwing events in the Shot Put was first-year John Amoretti, who placed 20th overall, with a throw of 11.83 meters. Placing close behind in 22nd place was first-year Grady Hanson, throwing 11.55 meters. Fellow first-year Ryan Rodriguez finished in 36th place, closing out the squad with a throw of 10.26 meters.
 
In the weight throw, senior Giovanni Wellington earned a 5th place finish overall, with a season best mark of 14.42 meters. Fellow senior Jonathan Eudja placed 16th, with a 12.04 meter throw. First-year Ryan Rodriguez finished in 19th overall, throwing 11.76 meters.
 
The Bulldog's also competed in the 4000-meter Distance Medley Relay, were DeSales placed 9th overall, with a final time of 11:49.14. The team consisted of Brady Snyder, Cooper Stutz, Jack Tavani, and Andrew Sidorski.
 
Lastly, closing out the meet was the 4x400-meter relay. Relay team "A" consisted of Bryce Guthier, Alex Porambo, Sean Alfaro, and Jozef Callano. They finished 8th overall, with a final time of 3:37.08. Relay team "B" consisted of Bryce Solly, Cody Doskocil, Keegan Dube, and Davis Trump. They placed 14th overall, in 3:49.37.
 
The Bulldog's will return to the track, Saturday January 31st at the Schuylkill Showcase hosted by Widener University.
