DeSales Men’s Track & Field Competes at Cornell University

Ithaca, NY (February 14, 2026) - The DeSales University men's track and field team continued its indoor season at Cornell University for the Kane Invitational this Saturday.
 
Beginning the running events in the 5000‑meter was first‑year Ryan Durkin, who earned 5th overall, in a time of 16:13.33. Sophomore James Viglianti followed in 9th place with a time of 16:44.53, and junior Andrew Sidorski placed 12th, crossing the line in 17:22.18.
 
In the 60‑meter, sophomore Jack Jacobson took 8th with a personal record time of 7.19 seconds. Jack's time earns him the MAC qualifying standard, and places him 6th in the DeSales top-10 list for the 60-meter for indoors. First‑year Owen Wescoe finished 25th in 7.54 seconds, while fellow first‑year Tyler Cloidt took 30th in 7.77 seconds. Sophomore Preston De Grazia rounded out the group in 33rd, clocking 7.90 seconds.
 
For the one mile, first‑year Keegan Dube took 12th overall in 4:31.63. Fellow first‑year Cody Doskocil followed in 16th with a time of 4:33.60, and first‑year Brady Snyder placed 20th, running 4:42.08. Keegan and Cody's time also earns them the MAC qualifying standard for the one mile. Sophomore Alex Porambo finished 24th in 4:53.06. Rounding out the Bulldogs' mile squad was first‑year Jack Tavani, who placed 26th running a personal record time of 4:57.40.
 
In the 800‑meter, junior Jozef Callano earned 6th overall with a time of 1:58.99. Jozef's time also places him 10th on the DeSales top-10 list for the 800-meter for indoors. First‑year Cody Doskocil followed in 17th, running 2:08.28, and senior Jordan Gallo crossed the line in 20th with a time of 2:17.26.
 
 
For the 3000‑meter, junior Joey Wilson earned 3rd overall with a time of 8:40.04. Joey's time also places him 4th on the DeSales top-10 list for the 3000-meter for indoors. First‑year Alden Twist followed in 8th, running 9:05.72. Alden's time earns him the MAC qualifying standard for the 3000-meter. Senior Davis Trump crossed the line in 9:07.27, taking 11th, and sophomore Bryce Phillips closed out the 3000-meter squad in 17th with a time of 9:22.12.
 
In the 200‑meter, first‑year Owen Wescoe finished 26th overall, crossing the line in 24.99 seconds. Sophomore Preston De Grazia followed in 28th, running a final time of 26.03 seconds.
 
For the 400‑meter, junior Bryce Guthier placed 8th overall in 51.99 seconds. Bryce's time also places him 5th on the DeSales top-10 list for the 400-meter for indoors. First‑year Sean Alfaro followed in 13th with a time of 54.46 seconds, while sophomore Cooper Stutz finished 18th in 55.70 seconds. First‑year Tyler Cloidt rounded out the group in 19th, crossing the line in 1:06.43.
 
In the 500‑meter, sophomore Aidan Phillips placed 2nd overall in 1:14.01. Senior John Murphy followed in 3rd, crossing the line in 1:20.53.
 
Switching to the field events, sophomore Jack Jacobson placed 10th overall in the Pole Vault with a clearance of 3.85 meters.
 
In the weight throw, senior Giovanni Wellington earned a 3rd place finish with a throw of 15.29 meters. First‑year Ryan Rodriguez followed in 5th, recording a throw of 13.63 meters. Ryan's throw also earns him the MAC qualifying standard for the weight throw.
 
For the long jump, sophomore Jonathan Castronovo earned a 2nd place finish with a mark of 6.55 meters. First‑year Tyler Cloidt followed in 10th, with a jump of 5.39 meters.
 
Sophomore Jonathan Castronovo finished in 5th place in the High Jump, with a mark of 1.80 meters.
In the Shot Put, first‑year John Amoretti finished 7th with a throw of 12.17 meters. Fellow first‑year Aidan Tonero placed 12th with a mark of 10.45 meters, and senior Christopher Landau followed in 14th with a throw of 10.10 meters.
 
In the Triple Jump, first‑year Luke Heimann placed 5th overall with a jump of 11.41 meters. Following close behind in 6th was senior Peter Skulski, who recorded a jump of 11.39 meters.
 
In the 4x400-meter relay, DeSales placed 3rd, with a final time of 3:39.32. The relay team consisted of Alex Porambo, Cody Doskocil, Keegan Dube, and Jozef Callano.
 
In two weekends, the Bulldog's will be gearing up to compete at the 2026 MAC Indoor Championships which will be held on Friday February 27th, through Saturday February 28th at Alvernia University.
