Men’s Track & Field Competes at Coach Pollard Invite

Bethlehem, PA (April 18, 2026) - The DeSales University men's track & field team competed at the Coach Pollard Invitational at Moravian University on Friday and Saturday.

Friday night also saw junior Jozef Callano compete in the Elite 800-meter at the Widener University Paul Donahue Invitational. He placed 22nd overall with a final time of 1:54.16. His performance moves him into 4th place on the DeSales all-time outdoor top‑10 list for the 800. He is also currently ranked 78th in the 2026 NCAA Division III outdoor rankings.
 
Starting on the track Friday night at Moravian in the 10,000-meter was first-year Noah Zimmerman, who placed 19th overall, crossing the line in 35:42.38. Junior Andrew Sidorski followed right behind in 20th place with a time of 37:17.55.
 
On Friday in the field events, senior Jonathan Eudja placed 7th in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 48.69 meters. Fellow senior Giovanni Wellington finished 13th with a throw of 44.53 meters. First-year Ryan Rodriguez placed 24th with a throw of 39.55 meters, and first-year John Amoretti finished 40th with a mark of 27.23 meters.
 
In the Shot Put, first-year John Amoretti placed 17th overall with a throw of 12.68 meters. Fellow first-year Grady Hanson finished 38th with a mark of 11.05 meters. First-year Aidan Tonero came in 40th with a throw of 10.49 meters, and senior Christopher Landau placed 41st overall with a mark of 10.46 meters.
 
Switching to the track on Saturday in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase, first-year Ryan Durkin placed 9th overall with a time of 10:25.11. Fellow first-year Jack Tavani finished 12th in 10:32.63. Right behind them in 13th place was sophomore Jordan Smith, who crossed the line in 10:38.69. All three earned the MAC qualifying standard for the 3k steeplechase outdoors.
 
Leading the 1,500-meter was junior Jozef Callano, who earned 2nd place overall, crossing the finish line in a standout time of 3:53.65. His performance places him into 1st on the DeSales all-time outdoor top‑10 list for the event. The time also re‑qualifies him for MACs and marks a new personal record in the event. Following in 9th place was fellow junior Joey Wilson, who ran another standout time of 4:01.84. His performance qualifies him for the MAC standard in the 1,500 outdoors, is a personal record, and ranks him 10th in DeSales outdoor history. Additional strong performances in the event included senior Jordan Gallo, who placed 37th overall in 4:28.75, and first-year Joey DeAngelis, who finished in 46th with a personal record of 5:05.56.
 
In the 400-meter dash, first-year Sean Alfaro placed 37th overall with a time of 51.71 seconds. Sophomore Cooper Stutz finished 44th in 52.64 seconds, and fellow sophomore Preston De Grazia placed 61st in 58.02 seconds.
 
For the 100-meter dash prelims, sophomore Jack Jacobson crossed the line in 11.28 seconds, placing 35th overall. First-year Reed Felker finished 39th in 11.33 seconds. Fellow first-years Owen Wescoe and Bryce Solly placed 58th and 59th respectively, running 11.776 and 11.778 seconds.
 
In the 110-meter hurdles prelim, first-year Tyler Cloidt placed 25th in 23.19 seconds.
 
For the 800-meter, first-year Keegan Dube placed 25th overall, running 2:00.88. Sophomore Alex Porambo crossed the line in 31st with a time of 2:01.58. First-year Brady Snyder finished 39th in 2:02.90. Senior John Murphy placed 63rd in 2:18.43, and sophomore Michael Arculeo finished 65th in 2:24.73.
 
In the 400-meter hurdles, sophomore Aidan Phillips finished 24th overall in 59.75 seconds. His time also earns him the MAC qualifying standard for the event.
 
For the 200-meter dash, sophomore Jack Jacobson placed 25th overall in 22.79 seconds. Right behind him in 26th was first-year Reed Felker, who also ran 22.79. Fellow first-year Sean Alfaro placed 35th in 23.21 seconds, and first-year Bryce Solly finished 48th in 23.94 seconds.
 
For the field events on Saturday in the Discus, senior Christopher Landau placed 7th overall with a season‑best mark of 33.84 meters. In the Discus Championship flight, first-year Ryan Rodriguez finished 8th with a personal‑record throw of 43.72 meters. Senior Giovanni Wellington placed 19th with a mark of 37.22 meters, and first-year John Amoretti finished 24th with a throw of 33.41 meters.
 
In the Long Jump, junior Weston Simak placed 11th with a jump of 6.47 meters. Sophomore Jonathan Castronovo followed in 18th with a mark of 6.23 meters.
 
For the Javelin, first-year Tyler Cloidt finished 18th with a personal‑record throw of 46.74 meters. Right behind him in 19th was fellow first-year Brendan Miller, who recorded a throw of 46.51 meters. Senior Dane Watson placed 21st with a mark of 46.42 meters, and junior Kaden Issa finished 36th with a throw of 38.08 meters.
 
In the Pole Vault, first-year Tyler Cloidt placed 11th with a vault of 3.80 meters.
 
DeSales competed in the 4x100-meter Relay. The squad consisted of Owen Wescoe, Jack Jacobson, Jonathan Castronovo, and Reed Felker. They placed 12th overall, with a final time of 44.51 seconds.
 
DeSales also competed in two 4x400-meter Relays. Team "A" consisted of Sean Alfaro, Aidan Phillips, Cooper Stutz, and Jozef Callano. They finished in 23rd overall with a final time of 3:36.40. Squad "B" consisted of Alex Porambo, Keegan Dube, Brady Snyder, and Joey Wilson. They placed 25th with a time of 3:42.48.
 
Next Friday and Saturday (April 24th – April 25th) the Bulldog's will return to action at the Carol and John Covert Classic hosted by Lehigh University.
