Mickey Myers ’97 was a standout on the baseball team in 1996 and 1997 graduating from DeSales with a Bachelor of Science in both Business Administration and Management.
 
He was two-year member of the baseball team helping DSU win two Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Championships and leading the team to its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 1997.
 
Myers was named All-PAC twice including First-Team in 1996 and Second-Team in 1997 as well as All-ECAC South Region First-Team and ABCA All-Region Second-Team in 1997.  He finished his career with a .408 batting average which is still ranked #1 in DeSales history.  In just two years he accumulated 108 hits, scored 66 runs, had 24 doubles and 13 home runs. Myers ranks 16th all-time with 101 RBIs and is also the all-time leader with a .698 slugging percentage.
 
He was drafted out of high school by the Florida Marlins before choosing to attend college instead, again drafted by the New York Yankees in 1996, and after the 1997 season he signed with the Seattle Mariners of the Midwest High A League.
