Mazzeo was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) in soccer, basketball, and baseball as a senior and earned nine varsity letters throughout his career.  He was the first male athlete to be inducted into the DeSales Hall of Fame and was named the Dr. John Compardo Male Athlete of the Year in 1972.  He totaled 32 career goals for 65 career points in soccer.
