DeSales University Athletics

Susan Roberts served as the athletics department secretary for just shy of 24 years prior to her retirement this past August. She received an appreciation award from the athletic department in the spring of 1997 and was honored as the DeSales University Employee of the Year in 2001.

Roberts began her career working full-time at Bethlehem Steel Corporation as a mail person, typist, and was quickly promoted to secretary in the purchasing department for nine years before her son was born. After a few part-time jobs, Roberts took a full-time position at Lutron for a short time before moving to DeSales University.

She was married to husband Henry in May of 1968 and they have been married for 47 years. They have lived their entire married life in Coopersburg, PA and had two children (James Henry and Jill Alayne).

She and her husband have a deep appreciation for talent, both in sports and in the arts and love to attend both sporting events and visit the theatre. They also enjoy traveling, especially going on cruises, and have cruised to Alaska, Bermuda, Canada, Florida, Mexico, and many islands in the Caribbean. 

Susan and Henry plan to enjoy retirement by continuing to travel and spending time at DeSales supporting the athletic teams and attending shows at the theatre.
