Brian Mauro ’14 was a standout on the baseball team graduating from DeSales with a Bachelor of science in mathematics.
Mauro earned All-MAC Freedom First-Team honors four times and was named the MAC Freedom Player of the Year in 2014. He was also All-ECAC First-Team twice, ABCA All-Region First-Team twice, D3baseball.com All-Region twice. Mauro was named an ABCA First-Team All-American in 2013 and a D3baseball.com Third-Team All-American the same year. He was honored as the Dr. John Compardo Male Athlete of the Year in 2013.
Statistically he continues to rang among the all-time leaders in several categories including third in batting average (.397), 13th in runs scored (126), third in hits (205), all-time leader in doubles (62), fourth in home runs (21), second in RBIs (159), fourth in slugging percentage (.642), sixth in walks (79), and fourth in on-base percentage (.486).
