Ashley (Sparango) Ervin was a standout of the field hockey team from 2004-07 graduating from DeSales with a bachelor of science in environmental science and a minor in chemistry and later earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from North Caroline State University in 2010.

Ervin was named to the All-MAC Freedom First-Team twice (2005, 2007) and Second-Team once (2006). She was named the MAC Freedom Player of the Year in 2007 and was honored on the womensfieldhockey.com All-Rookie Team in 2004.

She currently stand third all-time in goals scored (35), is the all-time leader in assists (39), and ranks first all-time in points with 109. Ervin was also awarded the Stanley J. Orzechowski award in 2008.
