Amy (Gould) Brooks was a standout runner on the women’s cross country and track & field teams at DeSales from 1993-97 graduating in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science/Arts in psychology. Brooks later went on to earn a Master’s in History from LaSalle University in 2014.
During her time at DeSales she was a part of three CC PAC Championship teams in 1994, 1995, and 1996 earning PAC Runner of the Year and All-PAC First-Team honors twice each in 1994 and 1996. Brooks still owns the sixth fastest individual time on the DeSales CC course and was named to the PAC/CSAC 25th Anniversary CC Team.
In addition, she was named NCAA All-Mid East Region twice finishing 22nd at the 1994 NCAA Mid-East Regionals and 19th in 1996. Brooks still owns the fourth fastest 1,500-meter time in indoor T&F and the sixth fastest 3K outdoor T&F time. She was a member of the 4x800 meter relay team that continues to hold the indoor school-record.
