DeSales University Athletics

The 1971 baseball team was recognized as the first varsity team at DeSales to finish with a winning record as the ended the year on a three-game winning streak to post a 7-4 overall record.  Members of the team included:  Dennis Campbell, Joe Dougherty, Mike Episcopo, Tom Giamoni, Hank Kowaleski, Bill Markham, Jim Rasich, Gene Stupak, Jim Wilson, John Esposito, Vince Yost, Gene Oreszak, Phil Lachimia, and Ron Schiavone and were coached by Joe Bird.
