Lawruk was a standout on the golf team from 1999-02 finishing among the top eight at the MAC Championships in three of his four years on the team. He earned All-MAC First-Team honors with a fifth place finish in 1999 and earned All-MAC Second-Team honors with an eight place finish in 2000 and a sixth place finish in 2001.

He still owns the second highest scoring average in team history at 82.5 strokes per round and had seven career rounds in the 70’s including a career-low 76 as a senior in 2002 at Golden Oaks Golf Course.

Lawruk graduated from DeSales in 2002 as a computer science major and later earned his masters from Penn State University in information systems.

He has worked as a software engineer at Lutron Electronics in Coopersburg, PA and a senior web developer at the Heritage Foundation in Washington D.C. Lawruk is currently a senior web developer with GeoDecisions in Harrisburg, where he develops geospatial mapping software for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Lawruk has been married ten years to his wife Allison. They enjoy running together and spending time with their two young daughters, Jordan and Nina.
