Mark Watermasysk ’00 was a standout men’s basketball player from 1996-00 graduating from DeSales University Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor of science in accounting and finance.
Watermasysk finished his career with 1,332 career points which currently ranks 11th all-time and 715 career rebounds, good for seventh on the all-time list. He is also among the top 12 all-time in field goal percentage (.528 – 12th), blocked shots (74 – 10th), and career double-doubles (20 – third).
He was named the MAC Freedom Player of the Year as a senior in 2000 and was a two-time All-MAC Freedom First-Team honoree. Watermasysk earned CoSida Academic All-America Third-Team honors after earning CoSIDA Academic All-District First-Team honors as well in 2000.
In addition he earned ECAC South Region Second-Team honors once and First-Team honors once, was named the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Association Player of the Year as a senior, and named the Dr. John Compardo Male Athlete of the Year two straight years in 1999 and 2000.
