DeSales University Athletics

Amy (Hendricks) Campbell was a three-sport athlete at DeSales competing at a high level on the volleyball, women’s basketball, and softball teams. She graduated from then Allentown College in 1981 with a degree in accounting, later earning her MBA with a concentration in finance and accounting thru Wilkes University in 1993.
 
Campbell was the first student-athlete in DeSales history to compete on three varsity teams all four years lettering in volleyball, women’s basketball, and softball all four years. She was the team MVP in basketball in 1980 and team MVP in softball in 1979. Her career was highlighted by being named the Dr. John Compardo Female Athlete of the Year in 1977-78 season.
 
As a basketball player she finished her career with 63 games played, scoring 523 points, grabbing 389 rebounds, and totaling 102 steals. Individual career statistics are widely unavailable for the volleyball team during that time period but the team took home the PAIAW Division III title in 1980 and in softball she batted .404 with 11 runs and 16 RBIs over the course of the 1980 and 81 seasons.
