Hall of Fame
Tim Neiman was the head baseball coach at DeSales University from 1990-2025. During his time, the Bulldogs were 868-528-5 (.621), winning 30+ games five times, and 20+ games in 29 of his 36 seasons. He is also the only coach in DeSales history to win 800+ games in any sport and currently ranks 27th among all NCAA Division III coaches in wins.
The 2003 season was Neiman’s finest as he guided his Bulldogs to their third consecutive 30-win season, to their fourth consecutive MAC Freedom Conference Championship, to their sixth NCAA Tournament, and ultimately to the program’s first and only NCAA Division III College World Series in Appleton, WI, after winning the 2003 NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship. DSU finished with a 30-14 overall record, ranked #8 in the country and produced its second National All-American as sophomore Ian Hauze was named to the First-Team at shortstop.
Overall, Neiman was named Coach of the Year 14 different times including twice in the ESAC Conference (1992, ‘93), once in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC - 1997) and nine times in the MAC/Freedom Conference (1998, ‘01, ‘03, ’04, ’05, ’08, ’12, ’13, ’15, ‘17, and '21). The American Baseball Coaches Association also honored Neiman as the Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year in 2003. His teams have won four ECAC South Region Championships (1993, ‘94, ‘97, ‘00), 10 Conference Championships (ESAC – 1994, PAC – 1996, ‘97, MAC/Freedom – 1998, ‘00, ‘01, ‘02, ‘03, ’04, ’05, and ‘08), made nine trips to the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament, and advanced to one NCAA Division III College World Series in 2003. Neiman saw 13 former players sign professional contracts during his tenure with DeSales.
