Jennifer (Lococo) Connolly was a standout player on the softball team at DeSales from 2007 to 2011. Connolly helped DeSales softball reach unprecedented heights in her four years leading DSU to a 108-63 record in her four years winning one MAC Freedom Championship, two ECAC Championships (earning Most Valuable Player during both championships), and advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history in 2008. Her career totals are still all over the record book and include ranking first all-time in games played (171), hits (199), doubles (45), home runs (20), and RBIs (130). She is also eighth in runs scored (83), ninth in batting average (.374), ninth in slugging percentage (.575), and sixth in walks (52). Connolly was just as dominant in the circle as she was at the plate ranking fourth all-time in ERA (2.85), second in wins (45), second in appearances (84), second in complete games (54), first in games started (83), third in shutouts (11), second in innings pitched (478), and fourth in strikeouts (279). She was named the MAC Rookie and Pitcher of the Year in 2008, was named All-MAC Freedom First-Team twice and All-MAC Freedom Second-Team twice. Connolly earned NFCA All-Region Second Team honors twice and ECAC All-Region First-Team honors twice. She was the LVAIAW Softball Player of the Year in 2011 and named the Dr. John Compardo Female Athlete of the Year in 2011.
