Tony Medina ’95 was a standout for the DeSales men’s basketball team from 1991-95. He is currently the athletic director, men’s varsity basketball coach, and a teacher at Faith Christian Academy, a K-12 school in Orlando, Fla.

Medina was named to the All-Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) first team in his senior season. He is the DeSales all-time career leader in double-doubles, with 26, and is the only player in school history to record a triple-double.

Medina ranks 12th all-time in DeSales history with 1,261 career points. He also ranks third in rebounds (777), fourth in steals (198), sixth in free throws made (302), and sixth in free throws attempted (458).

After graduating with a degree in sports administration/business, Medina worked from 1995-00 as a recreation supervisor at KidsPeace, a charity program in Orefield, Pa. He then spent a year as a psychiatric assistant at La Amistad, a residential treatment facility in Orlando, before being hired by Faith Christian Academy.

Medina and wife Teresa have two children, son Mateo and host daughter Sissie Li from China.
