Dan Fratantoro ’06 was a standout on the baseball team from 2002-05 graduating from DeSales in January, 2006 with a degree in accounting.
During his playing days DeSales posted a 125-49 record over four years winning four MAC Freedom Championships, including a perfect 12-0 record in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament. Fratantoro led the Bulldogs to the NCAA Tournament four times, won the 2003 NCAA Regional Championship, and advanced to the 2003 NCAA Division III College World Series - the only time in team’s history.
Fratantoro earned MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year in 2002 and was a three-time All-MAC Freedom First-Team selection (2002, 2003, 2005). He also received All-ECAC South Region First-Team honors twice and Second-Team once, while being named ABCA All-Region four times.
Fratantoro still ranks among the top 10 in several statistical categories including batting average (.383 – T6th), hits (230 – 2nd), runs scored (177 – 2nd), doubles (47 – 4th), home runs (15 – 13th), RBIs (144 – 5th), BB’s (106 – All-time leader), and on-base percentage (.485 – 5th).
