Kate Baxter Meredith ‘98 was a standout on the women’s basketball team from 1994-98 and a three-year member of the volleyball team from 1995-97. She graduated from DeSales University (then Allentown College) in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science.
Meredith still ranks among the career leaders in several statistical categories including points scored (13th) with 1,261 career points, rebounds (T-3rd) with 892, and double-doubles (T-3rd) with 29. She is also fourth all-time in field goal percentage and 10th in field goals made.
During her time with the Bulldogs she helped DSU win three conference championships including two in the PAC and one in the MAC her senior year. Meredith competed in three NCAA Tournaments with DeSales.
She was named All-PAC twice earning Honorable-Mention honors in 1996 and Second-Team accolades in 1997, before being named All-MAC First-Team as a senior in 1998. In addition, Meredith was named ECAC All-Region Second-Team in 1998 and was the Dr. John Compardo Female Athlete of the Year in 1998.
Meredith also spent three years on the volleyball team totaling 161 career kills, 298 digs, 96 total blocks, and 67 service aces, while helping DSU win two PAC Championships and compete in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 1995.
