Ward was a two-time captain and three-time Most Valuable Player on the men's basketball team in the late '80's.  Upon his induction in 2004 he continued to rank among the all-time leaders includine first all-time in free throws made (439).  He was among the leaders in points (1,555), field goals made (557), rebounds (853), blocked shots (99), and steals (147).  Ward was named an NAIA District 19 All-Star twice and honorable mention once, was honored as an Eastern States Athletic Conference All-Star three times, and was an Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference All-Star once.
