Courtney McClurkin ’08 was a standout on the women’s tennis from 2004-08 graduating from DeSales University Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and a minor in Spanish.
 
She is one of the most decorated women’s tennis players in DeSales history posting a career singles record of 65-8 and career doubles record of 60-11. McClurkin was a key member of the 2005 women’s tennis team that won the program’s first and only MAC Freedom Championship and is also a three-time MAC Individual Tournament Champion winning the #3 singles flight in 2004, #1 singles flight in 2007, and #2 doubles flight with Mary Kate McElvaney in 2005.
 
McClurkin was named All-MAC Freedom four times including Second-Team in 2004 and First-Team in 2005, 2006, and 2007. She earned MAC Freedom Player of the Year honors in 2007, was the MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year in 2004, and was also named the LVAIAW Women’s Tennis Player of the Year in 2007-08.
 
She is the all-time leader in both singles victories and double victories and also has the most doubles victories with one partner (Mary Kate McElvaney) with 51.
