Hall of Fame
Mike Vidumsky was a standout runner on both the men’s cross country and track & field teams at DeSales graduating in 2005 with a bachelor of science in mathematics and a secondary education certification in mathematics.
Vidumsky was an outstanding distance runner for four years with both the CC and T&F teams. In CC he was a two-time All-American, was the NCAA Mid-East Regional CC Champion in 2003, earned All-Region honors three times finishing 19th in 2002, first in 2003, and third in 2004, and earned All-MAC First-Team honors three times. In addition, Vidumsky was named to the MAC All-Century Team in cross country.
In T&F he was a two-time qualifier for the NCAA Division III National Championships in the 5K and 10K in 2005. He earned eight top 6 finishes at the MAC Indoor and Outdoor T&F Championships was a MAC Individual Champion three times including the indoor 5K, outdoor 5K, and outdoor 10K. Vidumsky was named the MAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year in 2004 and was the Dr. John Compardo Male Athlete of the Year in 2004.
Today Vidumsky still holds top 10 times in eight different T&F events including the school-record in the outdoor 10K with a time of 30:19.83. He also has the second fastest time in the indoor 1,500, indoor 5K, and outdoor 5K.
