Phil Yetter ’07 was a standout on the men’s soccer team from 2003-06 graduating from DeSales in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Management and later earned his MBA from DeSales in 2013.
Yetter was a part of two MAC Freedom Championship teams (2005 and 2006), including the first-team to win the conference title in team history in 2005, and played in two NCAA Tournaments (’05 and ’06). He was a three-year team captain starting every game he played in during his career.
Yetter earned All-MAC Freedom honors three times including First-Team twice (2005 and 2006) and Second-Team once (2004). He was also named NSCAA All-Region Third-Team as a senior in 2006.
He finished his career with 79 games played which still ranks sixth all-time and totaled four goals and 14 assists for 22 career points.
Following his playing career he was an assistant coach with the Bulldogs for the 2007 and 2008 seasons helping DSU win one more MAC Freedom Championship and advanced to one more NCAA Tournament in 2007.
