Jim Zinn ’04 was a standout player on the men’s basketball team from 2000-04 graduating from DeSales with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
He was a four-year member of the men’s basketball team helping the Bulldogs post a 71-38 record in his four years that included two appearances in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament and three appearances in the ECAC Tournament.
Zinn totaled 1,079 career points, which currently ranks 21st all-time, and sits fifth all-time with 184 made three-pointers. He is still the all-time leader in three point shooting percentage, converting 42.7 percent from outside the arc in his career.
He was All-MAC Freedom First-Team twice in his career and was named the MAC Freedom Player of the year as a senior in 2004. Zinn earned ECAC First-Team honors once, CoSIDA Academic All-District Second-Team honors once, and was D3hoops.com All-Region Second-Team as a senior. Additionally, Zinn was the Dr. John Compardo Male Athlete of the Year in 2004 and was a DIII News Honorable-Mention All-American that season.
