Mario Vicari ’83 was a standout on the men’s basketball team from 1979-83 graduating from DeSales in 1983 with a degree in both accounting and business. He later earned his Management Certificate in Corporate Strategy from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 2002.
He was a four-year starter at guard for DeSales in the early 1980’s finishing his career with 943 career points, which currently ranks 30th all-time, and 245 rebounds.
His career statistics have withstood the test of time as he currently still ranks among the 20 all-time in assists (226 – 21st); steals (113 – 19th); free throws made (243 – 13th); and free throw percentage (.767 – 13th).
