Janet Both '01 was a standout on the softball team from 1998- 01 graduating from DeSales in 2001 with a bachelor of science in management and minor in business.

She is one of just three players in softball team history to record 100+ hits and 100+ runs in a career. Both currently ranks among the all-time leaders in several offensive categories including fifth in batting average (.388), third in runs scored (102), seventh in hits (146), third in triples (16), seventh in RBIs (85), fifth in slugging percentage (.596), seventh in on-base percentage (.447), and third in assists (303).

Both earned All-MAC Freedom First-Team honors three times in her career (99-01), was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First- Team in 2001, and earned Lehigh Valley Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (LVAIAW) Softball Player of the Year honors in 2001. She was also named the Dr. John Compardo Female Athlete of the Year in 2001.
